The snow is continuing to fall this New Year's Eve Day.

Yesterday we spent a lovely sunny morning with Cathy, Dan and Rob going over the Fedco Catalog picking out seeds for our big farming summer. It was very exciting and a bit overwhelming at the same time. I am hoping that I can keep the enthusiasm going and follow through with my picture of abundance and healthy eating. It is so cold, snowy and windy right at this minute, that the warm dayz of summer seem far off. Well, until one starts trying to make those first planting plans.

We transplanted our baby salad greens that have been growing oh so slowly in Cathy's greenhouse. They should take off when the dayz get longer. Cath had her greens planted in a timely manner and has been enjoying them since fall.

Our chickens plopped out their first egg about 3 weeks ago and needless to say we were all very excited. Now we usually have 3 or 4 a day. We all love checking in the box to see if there are any presents. This morning I was walking around with one in the pocket of my sweatshirt and was glad to discover it before it broke in that pocket.

Sue is home safely from work and we can a•d•d around taking care of projects here in the house while the snow swirls around outside! We will continue our study our soil science and learn about crop rotation and green manures!!

Stay Warm!

What are the chickens and the garden doing? I guess I am going to have to come up and see for myself!
